Construction Plan Review Comments
Dear David:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
1. On Sheet 2 of the replat, the most recent FEMA map should be referenced.
2. Approval from TxDOT and the City of Lewisville will be required for the construction of the
deceleration lanes and driveway access. Also, all drainage work within the state right-of-way
will require TxDOT and City of Lewisville approval.
3. Grate inlets are being proposed in lieu of curb inlets in several locations throughout the
drainage plans. Please explain why curb inlets are not being utilized.
4. The proposed sanitary sewer crossing of Forest Hill Drive should be accomplished by a
method other than open cut.
5. Numerous additional valves should be included throughout the looped 8" water line.
6. Profiles should be provided where the sanitary sewer and the water line cross.
7. Please explain why a 130-foot transitional length is being provided on one of the deceleration
lanes.
8. You indicate on your traffic control plan that a portion of Forest Hill Drive will be
barricaded. Please be advised that two lanes of traffic should be provided at all times. The
barricading of Forest Hill Drive will require the utilization of flagmen to maintain two-way
traffic.
9. There are several other minor comments throughout the construction plans.
Once all comments have been addressed, please re-submit these marked-up plans and two sets
