Review of New FEMA Maps
Dear Shohre:
We have reviewed the preliminary FEMA information dated December 18, 1991 which you recently
provided. The 100-year flood plain delineation along the north side of Denton Creek appears to be at the
limit of our reclamation fill and levee. However, the island area along Mac. Arthur Boulevard between the
old Denton Creek channel and the new flood control channel is shown to be in the 100-year flood plain.
Our topographic information shows this is not the case. As shown on the attached Exhibit A, nearly the
entire island area is above the 100-year flood level determined by FEMA. We request that the FEIMA
maps be altered to reflect this.
