Vista Ridge Low Water Diversion Dam
John Karlsruher of Ginn, Inc. is aware of the situation relating
to the reference above. It is his understanding that at low
water flow in Denton Creek's current channel the Vista Ridge
system is to divert adequate flows to maintain movement of water
so as to avoid stagnation. This will also reduce an algal bloom
stifling the oxygen creating a potential wildlife kill.
John has recommended that Dannebaum Engineering be consulted
in regards to the Vista Ridge project and its effect on the
Denton Creek area. Shohre Daneshmand should also be contacted
as both individuals are familiar with what's happening in the
area.
I recommend that these individuals be contacted and provide
us with a tour and working knowledge of the system in order
that the City might be in a position to follow-up on Mike Allen's
concerns on this subject.
Please advise if this is a satisfactory procedure to investigate
the situation.
