'- Dear Mr, Wales:
This letter is to inform you of my and my families unhappiness with the
decision that has been made to move our backyard fence from it's present
location.
When we purchased our home from Centex, 07-1959, It was our
understanding that we were paying a lot premium to not only get a corner lot but
a larger Jot with a substantially bigger backyard. We now are being told, from the
plat map and letter you have sent to me dated 04-2000, that my backyard fence
is in violation of The City of Coppell fence setback ordlnance #g1500.A-130f
Judging by the plat map you have sent me this would mean a reduction of my
usable backyard space by some 15'X 72' or 1080' total! We did not buy this
home to have a large side yard but a large bac:kyard! Our pJans for our backyard
were to put in · large built-in poop with decking but now with this "change" In our
usable backyard space those plans are gone forever!
This is not what we agreed to at anytime with either Centex or The City of
Coppell and we feel that we have been deceived at this pointJ If we had known
about the fence setback situation prior to closing on our home, we wouk:l not
have bought/ti
My reason for writing this letter is to see if we, Centex and my family, can
come to some sort of "settlement" so that we can be "compensated", to our
satisfaction, for this irreparable situation.
