Re: Wrangler Drive Paving, Drainage and Water Line Improvement Project
(Freeport Parkway to Belt Line Road)
City of Coppell, Texas
Dear Mr. Pottorf:
Enclosed are final design plans and roadway cross-sections for the Wrangler Drive improvement
and reconstruction project in the City of Coppell. The typical roadway section is shown on Sheet
4 of the plans and is similar to the roadway section on Executive Drive and Airline Drive to the
north of this project. Information related to existing utilities is reflected on these plans based upon
information provided by the various utility companies and ties made on the ground during our field
surveys. In some cases, wherever possible, adjustments have been made in the proposed design
to avoid conflicts with existing utilities.
Please review the enclosed plans, verify that your existing utility locations are shown correctly,
identify any conflicts between your facilities and the proposed improvements and provide Ken
Griffin at the City of Coppell with a schedule for your adjustment and/or relocation work on this
project by May 1, 1998.
With the exception of portion of the project through the undeveloped tracts between the Coppell
West Middle School and Freeport Parkway on the west end of the project, the existing right-of-
way as shown on the plans is available and adequate for the proposed construction. The City of
Coppell is currently advertising this project for the receipt of bids and anticipates awarding a
contract and beginning construction at the west end of the project by the first week in June 1998.
The City is, therefore, requesting that all utility companies schedule their adjustments and/or
relocations in a timely manner.
Should you have any general questions regarding this project and/or the coordination of utility
relocations, please contact Ken Griffin, Director of Engineering and Public Works for the City
of Coppell, at (972) 304-3679. For any specific questions related to the plans or the design of the
proposed improvements please feel free to give me a call at (817) 336-5773.
