Re: Wellington Place Addition
Dear Ed:
Mr. Joseph Lin of Javatex Corp. has asked me to write to you
regarding the off-site drainage from the above referenced
development. This development drains eastward onto Riverchase
and Joe contacted me some time ago to coordinate the disposal of
this runoff. After discussions between Nathan Maier's office,
Joe, Joe's consulting engineer and me, it was determined that
the optimum solution would be to discharge the water onto our
property into a temporary channel and take it northward to the
existing channel which runs along the south side of Sandy Lake
Road.
In order to protect this area from a flood event of the Elm Fork,
we required that Javatex lay a storm sewer line with a flapgate
at the downstream portion of the conveyance system. This line
was sized to carry the runoff from Riverchase and the tract north
of Wellington Place which may need to drain in that direction.
Ultimately the temporary channel will be replaced with storm
sewer. This will most likely be done by the apartment developer
that buys this site from us.
If I may be of any assistance to you in this matter, please feel
free to contact me or Janet Vick at Nathan's office. Janet and I
are still interested in taking you on a tour of our project. I
can only imagine how deluged you must be with work, but if you
get some free time, please let us know.
Sincerely~,/:~.,.
