Subject: Freeport Update
The following is a project update:
Water line crossings will be complete by Monday, 4/23.
All detours required for Phase 2 have been sawed and will be completed by Friday, 4/27
Demo of the sidewalk from the bridge is ongoing (sawing at curb line to cut bars connecting sidewalk to deck will
be finished tomorrow)
Sidewalk removal from the bridge will be finished by 4/27
Work zone striping is scheduled for Monday 4/30 with concrete traffic barrier to be installed when traffic is
switched
ndrd
We will be ready to switch traffic by May 2 or 3
We currently have an issue with the traffic switch. The railroad has not installed the temporary crossing arm necessary
for northbound traffic on the west side of the road. At this time it is unlikely FWWR will get the arms installed by the
date we need for the traffic switch. With this scenario we are going to propose an interim detour for the northbound
traffic to go back to the east side of the road between Southwestern and the railroad tracks.
We are still waiting on the message boards. TTI needs different equipment than what was specified so Wanco is working
on switching that out. They should be ready sometime next week.
