REMARKS: Hello,
Please find attached the Report, HEC-RAS model and Shapefiles associated
with the Andrew Brown Park-West Trail Connection project. This is for your
review and comment. We have now modeled a low-water crossing instead
of the pedestrian bridge we had before. In general, having a low-water
crossing instead of a bridge does not in itself reduce/eliminate water
surface increases. However, reducing the n-values at the concrete trail
(n=0.02) and along the areas that are expected to be cleared (short grass
n=.03) eliminated the increases in water surface elevation. Included in this
submittal is the HEC-RAS model for your review.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Aldo Medina
