Freeport Parkway Reconstruction
Weekly Construction Meeting
4-26-18
Attendees: Eric Giebelhaus TSC, Jimmy Reed TSC, Joe Soto TSC, Marcus Marion, Darryl Zbranek
1. Construction Activities This Period:
a. Sewer line installation on crossing at Airline Dr.
b. Water line installation on crossing at Gateway Blvd.
c. Began sidewalk removal on the bridge but had to stop due to spalling on the underside
of Bride.
2. Construction Activities Planned next period:
a. Water line installation on crossing at Fritz Dr.
b. Backfill sewer line crossing at Airline Dr.
c. Begin work on bridge deck repair.
d. Begin work on crossovers for traffic change.
3. Construction Issues:
a. Sidewalk removal at bridge caused damage to bridge deck. Waiting for a repair plan
sheet from Aguirre & Fields.
b. How to proceed with bridge sidewalk removal / filling SB lane with HMAC. Waiting on
recommendations from Aguirre & Fields.
c. Water line at bridge area in the way of bridge drill shafts for columns. RFI to follow.
4. Safety Issues:
a. Person fell on bicycle near construction zone. Person not injured. TSC to forward Safety
incident report to the City of Coppell
5. As-built items:
a. None
6. Areas of Concern:
a. Mowing of vacant lots. Mowers are removing line locate flags in the ROW of Freeport to
mow. Code Compliance will get with property owners to let them know not to remove
locate flags when mowing.
7. Other:
a. Pay application 1 submitted, quantities approved by Marcus Marion and sent over for
processing.
