Freeport Parkway Reconstruction
Weekly Construction Meeting
5-03-18
Attendees: Eric Giebelhaus TSC, Jimmy Reed TSC, Joe Soto TSC, Marcus Marion, Darryl Zbranek
1. Construction Activities This Period:
a. All water line crossings in phase 1 are complete.
b. Sewer line crossing at Airline should be complete today, weather permitting.
c. TSC Continue to work on bridge deck repair and sidewalk removal.
2. Construction Activities Planned next period:
a. Continue bridge deck repair. TSC is planning on pouring the repair area next Tuesday or
Wednesday.
b. TSC continues bridge sidewalk removal.
3. Construction Issues:
a. Sidewalk removal is taking longer than originally expected. Work is pushing TSC’s
original schedule approximately 2 weeks.
b. Oncor Street Lighting – We gave TSC Oncor’s contact information for street light
removal.
c. Oncor has been working on moving their electric lines on the West side of Freeport at
Bethel. They completed the swap to the new lines. There is a FIberlite communication
line on the existing Oncor poles that need to be removed. We are reaching out to
Fiberlite and Oncor about the issue.
4. As-built items:
a. None
5. Areas of Concern:
a. Crown Castle has been on site laying out their utility installations. There appears to be
some conflict in the bridge area with the proposed new sewer line. We will contact
Crown Castle to discuss.
6. Other:
a. There were discussions about using fly ash in the concrete mixes. TSC may send an RFI
requesting to use concrete mixes with fly ash.
