status report (10/20/97) that was sent to you on the Wrangler Drive project, along width the most
recent Opinion of Probable Cost. This information should highlight most of the current design
issues/considerations for the project.
I will look forward to meeting with you on Tuesday to review the project and receive your
direction for completing final plans and specifications. In the meantime, should you have any

Attached is a copy of our project status report for the subject project. It includes a summary of
the decisions which were made at the preliminary plan submittal meeting, as welI as a list of most
of the issues which need to be addressed prior to beginning preparation of final plans and
construction specifications, Please review this report and let me know if these notes agree with
your understanding of the decisions and progress to-date. '
It might be useful to schedule a meeting at your convenience to discuss the various issues which
remain outstanding and your direction for completing the plans. In the meantime, should you
have any questions or need additional information, do not hesitate to give me a call. Atso, if there
is anything which I can do to help facilitate coordination/approval of the proposed design with the

(Freeport Parkway to Belt Line Road)
1, Preliminary plan submittal and meeting w/City staff took place on 03/20/97. See the
attached outline of discussion items presented at the meeting. It is our understanding that
the following decisions were made at this meeting:
a</. Provide an 8-inch water service lateral to Lot 3R, Block 8 Park West Commerce ~
Center at approximately Sta. 8 +00.
,K. Maintain a minimum vertical clearance of 1. O-foot (w/cone. protection) between
the storm drain and the water main at all crossings, unless ductile iron pipe is used.
~. Show the construction of a retaining wall (possibly a stacked precast concrete-block ,/,.
wall) around the existing CISD water meter vaults on the south side of the roadway
near Sta. 14+20.
~ Reflect the new right-of-way dedication across the frontage of Lot 1, Blk. A
North/ake 635 Business Park between Lakeshore Drive and Belt Line Road.
/el. Provide lay-down curb detail for future sidewalk ramps at all street and/or
driveway intersections.
~ Adjust (raise) grade of Enterprise Drive, Executive Drive and possibly Wrangler
Drive as much as possible to provide clearance over existing gas pipeline crossing
on Enterprise Drive and Executive Drive.
1) This grade adjustment at Enterprise Drive may require the extension of the
storm drain and construction of grate inlets or drop inlets to pick-up'
,- drainage from the CISD Coppell Middle School West property.
~. Include the relocation of the existing grass bernas at Enterprise Drive in the plans.

'..,it"Move the proposed inlet on the north side of Wrangler Drive, near Belt Line Road,
(Sta. ~,3+57) to the west to accommodate the construction of a future right-turn
lane off of Belt Line Road.
An exhibit for the improvements adjacent to the CISD-Coppell Middle School West
property was provided to the City on 03/28/97 for discussion w/CISD.
Continued coordination with various utility companies.
Preliminary plans sent to Albert H. Halff & Associates on 09/09/97.
t/g. Meeting w/the City, Albert H. Halff and the developer of tract at the northwest comer of
Belt Line Road and Wrangler Drive on 10/07/97 to discuss options for handling drainage

a. TNP evaluated the possibility of including this drainage in the proposed Wrangler~
Drive system (Storm Drain Line 'B') and presented an estimate of additional
construction cost to the City on 10/10/97.
A cost break-down for Phases I & II was provided to the City on I0/17/97.
