Typically, anything that is rubber-tired can putter around in a flood area. Just to clarify, when viewing the photo image you are looking at making a channel cut to the left side of the standing water beyond the limit of the photo, to allow the water to drain south to the creek? In the grand scheme of things, if a small value of dirt work allows the opportunity to fix it, I think we would all be behind it. The trail project is moving along pretty well. However, there is an issue with standing water along a section of the trail. I've included a photo and an area map to show where this is located. I wanted to see if it would be permitted to do some grading here to drain the water out. There appears to be a berm(?) which is keeping the water from draining to the creek. In looking at it, we think we can remedy the situation by cutting a path through this berm. We wanted to check with you (Billingsley) before we did anything. If you have any questions, please let me know. Gene Moulden | Planning Manager City of Irving |Capital Improvement Program 825 W.
