Chris, I know we have been in conversations about the one light pole needing to be removed on Freeport at Dividend.
Where do we stand with the removal of the rest of the light poles on Freeport Parkway from Dividend to Bethel?
Thank you,

Good afternoon George,
Yes, Oncor removes the light poles themselves; typically needing about a week lead time. Oncor’s contact info
is below:

Chris mentioned he will check on whether they charge the contractor or the City directly.
Oncor leaves the foundation in, so the City’s contractor will be removing that. In anticipation of that, the Pay
Item for TSC’s contract states as follows:
3
Pay Item No. C-10 – Remove & Dispose of Street Light:
This work includes the removal and disposal of any street light foundations,
wiring, and conduit where light poles are indicated on the construction plans to
be removed. Franchise utility company will remove and dispose of poles. Also,
included in this pay item will be the coordination between the CONTRACTOR
and franchise utility company to safely disconnect and cap any electrical lines
connected to the street light.
Measurement and payment for street light removal and disposal work performed
herein shall be made on the basis of the price bid per each (EA) and shall be
total compensation for furnishing and/or operating all labor, materials, tools,
equipment and other incidentals necessary to complete the work.
Thanks.

Claudio,
Have you coordinated with Oncor on the removal of the street lights along the Freeport Corridor? If so, please
share your contact with me.
Typically we need to enter into an agreement and pay Oncor to remove their facilities. I understand our
contractor is needing some removed ASAP for detours.
Also, not knowing what everything is included in the contract, did we shift any of the light pole removal to the
conractor?
Thank You, George
