SUBJECT: Construction of 138 kv power transmissiSh lines by Brazos Electric
I was contacted by Shohre Daneshmand in Engineering regarding issuance of a permit for
power transmission lines in City right-of-way from the new TU Substation at Coppell Road and
Thweat, north to where Coppell Road tums west. At that point, the transmission lines will also
turn west and follow Coppell Road on the north side beyond 121.
Since Brazos Electric is not operating under franchise with the City of Coppell, and because
work is to be done in City right-of-way, and will not serve the City of Coppen, I believe this
matter may need to be referred to competent authority for consideration and drafting of
appropriate legal insun.unents prior to any permit consideration.
Please advise me of disposition and any fees so that we may proceed.
