Grading Plan Review Comments
Dear David:
The City of Coppell has received and reviewed the grading plans for Lot 3R, Block G of Vista
Ridge Addition. We have no comments on the grading plans as submitted, however, there are
several issues that need to be resolved prior to the beginning of grading on this site.
E. You are showing a stabilized construction entrance offofSH 121. You will need to provide a
permit from TxDOT to construct access driveway facilities on highway fight-of-way. I have
enclosed a copy of the appropriate permit form for your use.
. The construction entrance is being located at the approximate location of a future street cut
onto SH 121. Therefor, you will also need permission from the City of Lewisville, as that
portion of the highway lies within the City of Lewisville.
3. The early grading permit along with a cheek for inspection fees in the amount of 2% of the
cost of the grading work should be provided to this office.
Once you have completed the above items, please submit three copies of the plans to the
Engineering Dept. for our use, and as many as you need on the job site so that they can be
stamped as approved by the City. If you have any questions, please contact me at (972) 304-

Ken. we had two suggested locations of the construction entrance for the contractor's convenience. He said the
one off Forest Hills will work for his operation. Also, I will submit the drive approach plans to Lewisville this week.
Can I go ahead and submit the construction drawings for the drive and turn lanes to TxDOT or do these need to
come from the City. Finally, any comments on the engineering drawings yet? PIease let me know. Thanks!
