Regarding: Win<L~r E~tates
This letter is intended to clarify the outstanding issues that remain on the eonsU'uetion of Deforest Road
approaching the entry of Windsor Estates.
We are asking for your oonsidetation to allow Windsor Estates to be granted a temporary final, with the
final pending the completion of Deforest Road. We have not been able to move forward with the
conslruclion of the road due to the ouialanding drainage issues that remain on the Deftest Court
Subdivision located to the west of Windsor Estates. We are currently completing the new design of the
drainage system between Scott and Tara Cooper's property and the Deforest Court Subdivision. This
design directly impacts the utilities adjacent to Deforest Road. We have come to a mutual understanding
with all parties and are nearing a sign off of the proposed drainage systtnn. We expect that everything will
be approved this week. Upon the approval of the drainage system and construction drawings by Scott and
Tara Coope~, and the City of Coppell, the utilities and road construction should be completed within a5
In addition to that update on the construction status of Deforest Road, I would like to point out that the
surface material will be asphalt as originally planned due the time constraints that concrete would create.
The process of installing the asphalt will take no longer than 3 days. No work will be allowed in Windsor
Estates during the asphalt installation due to the difficulty of ingress and egress in an energency situation.
Prior to the oompletion ofthe new asphalt portion of Deforest Road, we will keep a compacted layer of flex
base maintained on the surface for public use.
