G8-4066-01 (Subgrade Stabilization)
Coppell Road Improvements, Coppell, Texas
Dear Ms. Hately:
Soils north of Parkway Boulevard are primarily non-plastic. Adding cement
or lime is not of value. The subgrade, if properly compacted, will provide
adequate long term strength for the pavement section. The soils south of
Parkway Boulevard appear to have a higher clay content. 'Six percent of
cement or lime will increase the subgrade modulus.
At the time of clearing and grubbing has been accomplished we would
appreciate the opportunity to evaluate the sugbrade to access the uniformity
of the subgrade materials.
This letter is imported into and made part of Project G8-4066-01. Please
let me know if there is any other information that we could provide at this
time.
