Dear Mr. Norman,
Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) has reviewed GW Communication Solutions request to cross over
our 54 -inch water transmission main located in easement in Coppell, Texas.
DWU owns, operates, and maintains a 54 -inch diameter PCCP water transmission main in this
area as shown on DWU design sheet 685W-676 Sheet 16.
DWU has reviewed and approved the proposal for 1-2" HDPE conduit via BOTOC 4.5' feet over
our pipe. If any changes are made, resubmittal of plans to DWU are required for approval.
DWU requires that the contractor perform the following when working around our pipe:
1. The location of DWU's pipeline must be staked and flagged at all times.
2. No piers or drilling of any kind shall be permitted within 20' feet of existing 54" water
main.
3. Contractor shall contact DWU at "311" or 214-670-3111 48 -hours prior to construction
for line location services.
4. No vertical structures including fencing and walls shall be built over the existing asset.
5. Only tracked equipment shall be used over the pipeline. No wheeled equipment shall be
used unless otherwise approved by DWU. An engineering plan to protect DWU's assets
may need to be submitted to DWU for review and approval.
6. No equipment that is over H2O loading is allowed within the right-of-way or easement of
DWU's asset. An engineered matting plan may need to be submitted and approved by
DWU for equipment passing over the asset.
