Construction Plan Review Comments
Dear Sirs:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
1. Sheet A1 - proposed sidewalks adjacent to SH 121 should line up with brick pavers. You
should also show the paver detail for the ADA ramps.
2. Sheet C1 - there seems to be some confusion over what the finished floor elevation of the
facility will be. It is shown as 467.5 on Sheet C1 and 470 on Sheet C2.
3. Sheet C2 - please comment how the drainage from the Jack-in-the Box Addition to the west
is going to flow to the proposed grate inlet once the solid screening wall is constructed.
4. Sheet C5 - there appears to be an error with the manhole shown at station 1+31.11 on line B.
The rim elevation is shown at 445.8 whereas the flow line is shown approximately 4' higher
at 450.49.
5. Please provide a profile view of the drainage and sanitary sewer system.
6. Add to the utility notes a note stating that the water line shall be pressure tested and
disinfected in accordance with AWWA C-601.
7. The pipe material should be Class 200.
8. Sheet C6 - all details on this sheet and in the construction plans which are included in our
Standard Details should be removed from the plans. The only details to be included in these
plans are details that are revised and specific to this project. The contractor is required to
have a copy of the City of Coppell Standard Details on the job site at all times during
construction.
9. Landscape and Irrigation Plans should be removed from the civil drawings. Those plans are
not reviewed or approved by the Engineering Department. They should be submitted to the
Building Inspections Department for approval.
Please make the necessary changes and submit these marked-up plans and two sets of revised
plans to the City for review. If you have any questions, please contact me at (972) 304-3686.
Sincerely,
Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E.
