B. Section 8: SH 289 to US 75 (3-lane frontage roads)(CSJ 0364-04-022)
1. The Commission approved funding for this project at their 11-18-99 meet-
ing as part of a supplement to the 2000 UTP. This project now has Priori-
ty 1 status for FY 2003 with funding from Category 4C - STP-MM ($12
million) and Category 12 - Commission Strategic Priority ($28 million).
2. The current construction cost estimate is $46,320,000 (including the
Custer Road Mainlane Overpass to be funded by Collin County).
3. Additional cost to add mainlane overpasses at cross-streets (allowing
through traffic to bypass intersections):

4. TxDOT's Fort Worth District is including this section of the SH 121 Free-
way in an ongoing MIS, Schematic, and EA consultant contract they have
in the area. The Fort Worth District is working closely with the City of
Grapevine to develop the transportation needs in the area. The following

COG (STP-MM) and local funding, theses projects have been moved to
Priority 2 status.
