I talked with Larry. The tree issue will be handled by a P.O. with Leisure
Services and the contractor will place the additional fill in the stock pond
at no additional cost. Isi faxed Larry a copy of the change order for the
fence and we will discuss after lunch.

I just talked to Philip at ISl. The fence issue isn't quite as urgent as he
made it seem in his message. He said they have materials on site and would
like to get started on the fence. I told him that I was going to send a
letter to you and Larry this morning and that he should get an OK to
proceed. He seemed fine with that. I did mention the cost of the tree
removal from the pond ($5000) and the dirt compaction in the stock pond
($2656.80). I told him he shouldn't move any dirt outside of the scope of
the project unless he has received direct instructions from Larry. I think
he may have already put some dirt in the pond. He also seemed to think that
because some of the trees along State Road were not shown on the plans that
they should get extra money for removal. I told him that right of way
preparation includes everything within the ROW. They are required to check
the site prior to submitting their bid, If Larry has instructed them to
remove additional trees then that is a different story. I think $5000 for
tree removal is a little high considering the fact that they bid $500 total
for ROW preparation. I told him we would discuss all of that on Thursday.
I checked my schedule. It's at 10.

I'm sure they aren't willing to wait but I told Philip that I wanted to
discuss some of the other items on the Change Order. I think Philip just
wanted to make sure they were going to get paid for constructing the fence.
I could send over the information and you could get it typed up and if all
goes well on Thursday it would be ready to go after the meeting. I will fax
over a mark up first thing in the morning.

I was wrong about the tree issue being solved, Larry was talking about some
trees outside the project limits that Parks & Leisure wants removed. I am
sending you an aerial photo of the area with the approximate limits of the
proposed right-of-way shown. We can discuss the tree issue on Thursday. it
appears as if most of the trees are within the right-of way.
Go ahead and prepare the change order for the fence relocation and fax it
over. It can be penciled in because Paula will type it over here. Could
you prepare a brief explanation of why the change order is needed at the
bottom of the form.
The scheduled site meeting is at 10:00 on Thursday, if you can show up about
thirty minutes before the meeting to meet with Larry, that would be fine.
