Dear I4r. Jones;
I am writing in reference to our July 26th phone conversation and would
like to first thank you for your time.
The problem in question seems to be the piers that "supposedly" needed
redrilling due to rain. This excludes several piers that were not
drilled until after the inclement weather.
I have in my possession the inspector's tag dated July 8th, releasing
part of the holes to be poured. We poured the designated holes,
redrilled the washed holes, and called for a reinspection. It was then
(July 14th) that Mr. Perkins indicated he had not released the first
group of piers to be poured. I am enclosing a copy of both tags, signed
and "okayed" by Mr. Perkins to pour the piers in question. If this is
not sufficient, I will be happy to meet with you, the city manager, and
Mr. Perkins to discuss this matter. All piers had been inspected and
signed for by Mr. Perkins.
I will go on record to say we have not, and will not, pour anything in
the City of Coppell or any other city before it is inspected. We have
met all parameters required by the city approved plans and in no way
have we compromised on any construction or inspection requirements.
