Re: Replacement Metering Facility for Sandy Lake Road Pump Station
Dear Mr. Griffin:
Dallas Water Utilities does not have any objections to the City of Coppell's
request to relocate the Sandy Lake Road metering facility. However, in
accordance with the wholesale treated water contract, we respectfully request
the following:
· DWU must be given the opportunity to review and provide comment to the
design plans for the new metering facility and its supply line prior to
finalization. All designs, materials and specifications shall conform to Dallas'
requirements. DWU will have inspection and final acceptance authority of all
construction.
· Coppell will assume responsibility for obtaining all necessary easements and
rights-of-way for the new metering facility and its supply line. Coppell will
convey title of those facilities and rights-of-way to Dallas.
Regarding the construction contract, we assume that Dallas will administer the
bid process and upon receipt of the Iow bid and award, Coppell will provide the
funding amount to Dallas.
Ken, we look forward to working with you on this important project for Coppell.
Please feel free to call me directly at 214/670-5887 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Randy Stalnaker
