Campbell Centre II 8150 North Central Expressway Suite M-1150 Dallas, Texas 75206-1815 RE: Sandy Lake Road Project Dallas Project #91-830 / Coppell Project #ST 93-01 Dear Ms. Kiger: I have received and reviewed the revised Sheet 24, which you submitted, that contains changes necessitated by the Trinity Shores Development on the south side of Sandy Lake Road. I have the following comments to offer: 1. Please provide the centerline station of the new street. The Trinity Shores plans show the centerline to be at Sta. 65 + 83.12. If you changed the location we need to know. 2. Please label the radius for the new street. The Trinity Shores plans show a 30-foot radius, therefore these plans should reflect a 30-foot radius. 3. Please provide the centerline stationing of the inlet. Per my calculations, the centerline stationing should be at 65+14. Your cover letter states that it is at approximately 65+20. My calculations are as follows: One-half of the street width is 14 feet, 30-foot radius, 1 O-foot straight curb section, 1 O-foot transition, and ~ of a 10-foot inlet is a total of 69 feet. Sixty-nine feet west 0f Sta. 65+83 is approximate Sta. 65+14. 4. When the low point inlet is shifted, the profile should also be revised to reflect the new low point location. This will necessitate changing the grades of Sandy Lake Road. 5. Please provide stationing for the beginning, mid-point and ending of the transition east of the street. Also, please note how long the transition is. 6. You should provide revised sheets for all sheets impacted. Per my review of the Sandy Lake Road plans, Sheets 24, 46, 90, 91, 92 and 94 will be impacted by the addition of this street at this location. Therefore, revisions to all those plans should be provided to this office and to Dallas County. 7. At Station 66+44.02 you state "to match existing concrete", however, because the transition has been moved east of the proposed street, it appears that additional concrete will need to be added to the south side of Sandy Lake Road. If this is correct please provide a quantity of concrete to be added, as this cost will be bome by the developer to the south. I am unsure what direction you were provided by the developer of Trinity Shores, however, the above cornments need to be addressed prior to the City approving the Trinity Shores plans. If you should have any questions or need any clarification please feel free to contact this office at your convenience. Sincerely, Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E.
