Rogers Irving, TX 75060 214/259-9903 Re: W&A #94-093; Denton Tap Road; Coppell, Texas Dear Mr. Morgan: Attached is a copy of the preliminary plans for a 16" water line along Denton Tap Road crossing the existing Denton Creek bridge. Please review the plans and direct your comments to Ken Griffin of the City of Coppell or to our firm. Please review the underground location shown for your public facilities to confirm they are correct. The City intends to bid the water line plans in January and we need your review comments by January 5, 1996. In the future when the roadway is improved the existing bridge will be replaced by two separate bridges with three lanes per bridge. The bridges will be constructed in phases to keep traffic in service. The west proposed bridge will be installed first while the existing bridge is kept in service. After the west bddge is completed and the approach pavement is complete traffic will be moved to the west bridge and the existing bridge will be removed. The public utilities will need to be relocated in agreement with the construction sequence described above. In some cases this may involve temporary relocation of public facilities. We have included a preliminary bridge plan layout. Please review the attached information and contact us regarding your conceptual design for public utilities crossing Denton Creek. The City approved the Conceptual Plans and we are authorized to begin design of final plans for Denton Tap Road. The actual construction date and funding has not been approved. It may be several years before this project is funded. We will keep you apprised of the project schedule. Very truly yours, ~, P./C~E., ~.P.L.S.
