The CDBG funds will be used to provide fire protection in the Golden Triangle Mobile Home Park. There are approximately 136 households within the +19.69 acre Golden Triangle Mobile Home Park. Presently, there are no fire hydrants located within the confines of the mobile home park. The proposed project will consist of the installation of approximately 900 Iinear feet of 8-inch water line and three fire hydrants. Enclosed is a General Scope of Services, which outlines the information to be submitted, the evaluation criteria, and the general scope of work for the design of the project. No costing information should be provided relative to the submittal of qualifications. Also enclosed is a location map for the project, a layout of the mobile home park, and an exhibit showing the location of the proposed 8-inch water line and fire hydrants. If your firm is interested in pursuing the project, please provide five copies of your qualifications no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 25, 2002. Once the qualifications have been received, the City and Dallas County will independently review them. The City and Dallas County will then meet, combine the rankings, and select a firm. The City will manage design of the project and Dallas County will manage advertisement and construction. It is anticipated that a design contract could be awarded for the project during the March 12, 2002 City Council meeting. Your consideration of this matter is appreciated.
