That always results in a "birdbath" in the paving. The inlet must be moved. We do not use grate inlets in the road, especially when we can redesign now to avoid it. As to the point about compensation, we are not directing or paying for any changes. All changes are at the direction of the developer to the south and any additional cost should be paid by the developer. I do not know what financial arrangements you worked out with the developer but, again, all changes are at his costs. ken griffin >>> "Kiger, Debbie" <Debbie. Kiger@jacobs.com> 01/24/02 02:18PM >>> Ken, After reading point ¢f-4 from your 1/22/02 letter regarding the new Trinity Shores Development revisions to Sandy Lake Rd, we have the following comment. * It was our intention to keep the Iow point in the same location on the profile and have the contractor grade the pavement area to drain into the inlet. * A second option is to keep the Iow point and inlet in the same location but utilize a grate inlet instead of a curb inlet. * The option that you mentioned in your letter, moving the curb inlet and revising the Sandy Lake Rd profile to move the Iow point, is much more time consuming and we would require additional compensation for this work. Please review this issue and advise which option is the acceptable alternative.
