Re: Coppell Road Project # ST 98-01
Dear Mr. Teter:
This letter is written as a follow-up to my November 12, 2001 letter which requested various items
referenced project can progress toward completion. The items previously requested were as follows:
1) Two originals of the executed Change Order #5;
2) Contractor's Affidavit of Final Payment;
3) Pay Request #15 and Final;
4) Resolution of liquidated damages.

The actual work began on this project on October 4, 1999. The project was bid with 240 Calendar Days, therefore
the original completion date was May 30, 2000. Them have been four signed change orders and one pending
change order on this project. Change Orders 1 through 4 added days to the project as follows:
Change Order # 1 - 14 days
Change Order #2 - 15 days
Change Order #3 - 7 days
Change Order #4 - 0 days
As previously stated in this letter and my November 12th letter, we are still awaiting the return of the executed
Change Order #5 which does not include any additional calendar days for the project.
Based on the original bid and the change orders, the contract calendar days for this project expired on July 5, 2000.
Based on Pay Estimate #14, the City of Coppell is holding $104,659.55 in retainage. Also, we have not paid for
Change Order #5 in the amount of $41,965.00 because the executed document has not been submitted to this
office. Because this project is substantially complete, the City of Coppell would like to close out this project and
begin the two-year maintenance bond.
We are again requesting the above listed items be provided as soon as possible to this office so that we can begin
the process of closing out this project. If you have any questions or need any additional information please feel
