Director of Engineering & Public Works City of Coppell 255 Parkway Boulevard Coppell, Texas 75019 RE: West Sandy Lake Road - Revised Alignments for East End of Project Dear Ken: We have developed two alternatives based on the meeting we had with you on June 19th. In general, the no-median section was extended to the west closer to Coppell Road South and to the east to allow access to the Verizon/GTE property. The median section was adjusted by the addition of a left turn lane into the Verizon/GTE property. ']-he following information lists more specifically what was done to each alternative. No-Median Alternative: · Extended the no median section to Cottonwood Drive and to the Verizon/GTE property. The protected left turn lane into Cottonwood Drive was left as a raised median. · Added a 2' bike lane adjacent to each outside curb line. · Adjusted the parkway width to 10', making the ROW width 73'. · Shifted the alignment to the south so that the south curb line was approximately in the same location as that of the median section. · ROW dedication: 21,278 Square Feet · Trees to be removed: 245 (which consists of approximately 65 trees in a dense tree line on the south side of the road between Whispering Hills and Georgian Drive as shown in the pictures we have included) Median Alternative: · Added a left turn lane into the Verizon/GTE property. · Added a 2' bike lane adjacent to each outside curb line. · Adjusted the parkway to 10', making the ROW width 90'. · ROW dedication: 49,670 Square Feet · Trees to be removed: 293 (which consists of approximately 65 trees in a dense tree line on the south side of the road between Whispering Hills and Georgian Drive) In the exhibits we have identified the ROW dedication and the trees that would be taken for each alternative. This was done based on the following assumptions: a 10' parkway for each 1100 MACON STREET FORT WORTH, TEXAS 76102 (817) 336-5773 FAX (817) 336 2813 alternative and a 10' wide tree removal area back of the curb.
