SRA has reviewed and approved the recommendations received from Craig Olden, Inc.
regarding the addition of gabion baskets (see attached sketch) to the gabion wall
located at Sta. 3+25+. They indicate that this will increase the bid item (114) for
gabions by 72 cubic yards. The unit price bid for gabions is $133.56/CY for a total bid
price increase of $9616.32.
SRA has also discussed adding an additional row of gabions to the gabion wall located
at Sta. 2+00+ to bring the top of the wall closer to the proposed top of curb elevation.
According to .left Tanner, with Craig Olden, the existing elevations in the creek varied
somewhat from the topo shown on the plans, which put the top of the wall lower than
the proposed top of curb. Jeff recommended, and SRA agrees, that the proper solution
would be to add another row of gabions to raise the top of the wall elevation. They
indicated that this would require an additional 17.5 cubic yards of gabions. This
results in a price increase of $2337.30.

copy of their sketch.

added as Row O. This will be an increase of apprgximately 17.5 CY. ..!
