Dear Ulys,'
We have reviewed the pier cap, because of the B-5 pier being place 5" to the west of 6rid
line C. For reference we are looking north at the pier cap. The new 1J'-7" span is to the
left and 16'-5' span is to the right.
The following chani~es should be made:
1. Add two B-3 bars in the 16'~5" span 2-#11 x 9'6" centered in the bottom.
2. Take two stirrups from the 15'-7" span and add them to the I6'-Y' span. The new
spacing is as follows starting at left end:
13 eq. spaces = 3'-9"; 4 eq. sp~ces =, 3'-6"; 16 eq. spaces= 5'-10".
16 eq. spaces = 5'-2 W'; 4 eq. spaces - 3'-6" 16 eq. spaces ,,, 5'-:2 V2.'.
It is our opinion that these revisions will correct the cap.
