MA 9601 Deforest-CS 950420DATE: April 20, 1995 TO: Ken Griffin, Asst. City Manager/City Engineer FROM: Rey Gonzales, Street Superintendent~ RE: Deforest Road Culled In Place Asphalt Recycling Staff has met with Mike Sharp with Dallas County Road and Bridge District 1 to discuss the above referenced operation. Mike has worked with a company named MCS to provide an emulsified asphalt for the recycling process. In addition, some R.A.P. material will need to be hauled in to bring the subgrade up to a minimum 6" depth. All this will be milled in place by the county with MCS providing the emulsifier at a cost of $44,000.00. The parameters covered by this project are from the intersection of MacArthur Blvd. to the dead end at Mr. McInnis' property. There would be a cost savings if we reduce the parameters to just east of Allen Road. If you need any further information, let me know. RG/bc DEFOREST.RG
