Steve Sewell requested that I send you information on how to obtain an
early grading permit for the above referenced project. I have attached the
application form for you to use if you chose to pursue the permit.
To obtain the permit, submit a set of grading plans to the engineering
department for review. The submittal must consist of the following:
1) The cover sheet must be clearly labeled "Grading Only", 2) The plans
must include a plat, site plan, grading plan, and erosion control sheet and,
3) Include a "Hold Harmless" letter from the property owner indicating
that the City will not be liable for changes made to the final construction
plans.
Once the plans are reviewed and approved, you will need to provide us
with 3 sets of plans to be signed, a 2% inspection fee for the grading, and
a copy of the bid estimate.
