Dear Jim:
I spoke to you yesterday regarding replacement of curb and gutter which was found to be
damaged in close proximity to sidewalk repair work being done for the City of Coppell
by your company. We agreed on a unit price of $30.00 per linear foot of curb and gutter.
I will give Cynthia a list of these repairs for your approval.
We also agreed there would be a 4-foot minimum repair on curb and gutter. This work
will be done in conjunction with sidewalk repairs, but paid separately fi.om sidewalk
work. If this is acceptable to you, please sign this letter and return to me before any work
takes place. '

Sidewalk Contract
During the reconstruction of sidewalks, we have noticed that there are various locations
where the curb line and lead walk has settled adjacent to the sidewalk. When we replace the
sidewalk and the lead walk we are creating a dangerous offset from the curb to the lead walk.
We contacted the contractor for the sidewalk project about replacing the curbs in the areas
that require it. This was not a bid item in the sidewalk project, however, the street and alley
project does have a bid item for curb repair at a cost of $30.00/per linear foot. The
contractor for the sidewalks has agreed to replace the damaged section of the curb adjacent
to the sidewalk for the same $30.00/per linear foot.
Is the attached letter sufficient to accomplish the goal of allowing the sidewalk contractor to
replace the sections of damaged curb under his current contract?
Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks for your consideration of this request.
