RE: Slope Grading
Dear Ms. Taylor,
Thank you for your letter dated February 15, 2002 in regards to the slope grading and the
Champion property. ISI had received a copy of the Letter of Permission fi.om Champion
Properties back in October as you stated.
ISI agrees to perform all necessary slope grading within the fight-of-way. According to
the control points given to ISI by Sclaxickel, Rollins and Associates, the fence line and
Champions property is approximately six to eight inches outside of that right-of-way. ISI
will not be held accountable for additional work not shown on the drawings, not
memioned in the specifications, nor located in the right-of-way, without additional
compensation. The removal of the fence line and trees along the Champions Property
was not included in our bid to you.
While it is nice to know that the Champion Property owner has granted permission for
the City of Coppell to access their property while constructing this project, ISI did not bid
work outside of the right of way. Work outside the right-of-way includes taking down
the fence and trees on that property line.
If the City of Coppell wants the fence and trees removed outside of the right-of-way, it
will be an additional cost of $22,000.00 to remove and haul-off. Please notify ISI if the
City of Coppell would like this work to be performed. Time is of essence. This work
needs to be completed prior to the liming of Creekview Drive. ISI intends to begin
liming within two weeks from today. A quick decision must be made.
