I just faxed you a response letter to ISrs comments regarding the fence
issues. I didn't send a copy to ISl. You said that you and Lan'y want to
discuss it with Ken.
Could you also tell Lam/that I looked at the Bid Proposal and we have a
line item for 6" BIowoff Assemblies at $1546.68 each. Larry had asked the
Contractor to leave these out and they haven't charged for any of them on
their pay request. He wanted to see if the contractor would switch the cost
of the blowoffs for the additional fire hydrant. It would make better
financial sense for us to leave things the way they are and just pay for an
additional fire hydrant and 6" gate valve.

Larry had also asked me to look into shortening the HMAC Pavement transition
for Ruby Road (Sbt. 7). It appears as though we were shooting for a 100'
transition. Larry mentioned maybe shortening the transition by 20'. I
think we can accommodate that without any problems.
With regards to the 6" median island, I went back to the drawings to check
what the actual square footage of the island was because TxDOT will not
install a raised island unless the square footage is over 100, The area of
the island shown on Sht. 7 is approximately 135 square feet. Please let me
know what you decide to do so that I can instruct ISI as to what they need
to do.
