30" Force Main - Line A & B
Dear Mr. Sugg:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
Line A
1. It appears that an air release valve will be necessary at Sta. 2+05.
2. Is an air release valve necessary at Sta. 7+43 if one is installed at Sta. 2+05?
3. Eliminate all the 10" force main drain accesses throughout the plans.
4. Provide a legend on the plans for the various symbols.
5. The tree at approximately Sm. 29+30 should be bored.
6. Remove the note at Sta. 31+00, which refers to removing trees. The tree at Sta. 31+50 should be
bored.
7. Please evaluate whether or not it would be feasible to bore the force main from approximately Sta.
31+69 to Sta. 34+52. The plans show approximately a 20-foot cut approximately five feet away from
the curb line.
Line B
1. Should provide notes at approximately Sta. 2+80 that the contractor is to excavate the existing 42"
TXU water line to verify elevation. Also, the contractor should notify DWU at least 7 days prior to
boring beneath the 42" water line.
The City of Coppell is still reviewing the specifications for the project and will provide comments once
that review is completed. Once you have had a chance to review these comments please contact this
office to schedule a meeting to discuss them in further detail.
Sincerely, ~r)
