Construction Plan Review Comments
Dear Mr. Paris:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer:
General comments-
1. Plans should be sealed in accordance with the rules and regulations of the State Board.
2. The response letter submitted today expresses engineering opinions; and therefore, a licensed
engineer should sign it.
3. Include the plat with these plans.
Sheet CPP01 -
Correct typing and drafting errors.
Sheet CPP03 -
What is the stray object in the left profile at 28+807
Sheet CGP02 -
Concerns still exist regarding the material being used for embankment at the detention pond.
This issue should be addressed.
Sheet CDA03 -
Include the reservoir routing table as previously requested.
Sheet CSD01 -
Remove the waterline from the profile as per the changes in the plan.
Sheet CSD03 -
Remove "end and plug" from line A-1B.
Sheet CSD05 -
1. Show sufficient contour information around the pipe outlet to indicate that it is at an adequate
receiving channel.
2. Revise the HGL's for lines B-lB and B-lC due to the effect of changing pipe sizes and
lateral B- 1.

Sheet CSD06 -
1. The detail for the anti-seep collar shows it rises more than 2' above the 54" diameter 'pipe.
The profile shows it stopping at top of pipe and embankment. Resolve these differences and
ensure adequate protection for the fill.
2. Add the flowline elevation for the 54" diameter pipe.
3. Correct the label for the 30" RCP at 1+47.
Sheet CWW02 -
The waterline should be encased since there is less than 2 feet of separation between it and the
18" RCP.
Sheet CWV~03 -
The 12" waterline should be "verified" not "tied".
Sheet CWXV05 -
1. Provide a 5' diameter manhole at station 12+51 since it is more than 10 feet deep.
2. Add top of rim information to all sanitary sewer profiles.
Sheet CPM01 -
Correct a drafting error. One of the bullets does not have its number inside.
Please make the necessary changes and submit these marked-up plans and two sets of revised
plans to the City for review. If you have any questions, please contact this office at your
