1. This addendum modifies and extends the requirements of the plans and construction
specifications for the above referenced project.
2. Staple these addenda to the inside of the rear cover of the construction specifications or bind
it into the construction specifications at the end of the Bid Proposal.
3. Note receipt &all addenda on the Bid Form located in the Bidding Documents, and also on
the outside cover of the envelope containing the Bid Documents.

Replace, "Cast-In-Place 6'x5' Concrete Box Culvert" with "6'x5' Concrete Box Culvert."
Item No. 2 - Description of Pay Items
Page 5-3, Item 2.2, Pay Items #2 and #3
Replace the following sentence:
"The box culvert, headwall, wingwalls, and apron shall be cast-in-place per NCTCOG
Division 7, the plans, and TxDOT details.*'
with the following sentences.
The box culvert shall be precast or cast-in-place per NCTCOG Division 7, the plans and
TxDOT details. The headwall, wingwalls, and apron shall be cast-in-place per NCTCOG
Division 7, the plans, and TxDOT details.
Add the following to the end of the first paragraph:
Shop drawings for the precast concrete box culvert shall be submitted by the Contractor
to the Owner for approval prior to the start of construction. The drawings shall include
details for connecting headwalls, wingwalls and aprons to the preeast box culvert.

The following is a clarification of the type of material required for the embankment:
The embankment material shall be imported fi.om off-site sources. A representative soil
sample of the proposed embankment shall be provided by the Contractor and be approved
by the Owner. In general, imported material must be equal to or better than native
material in quality and engineering characteristics. The Owner may also require the
Contractor to provide a material analysis of the proposed embankment.
Only clean suitable material shall be used in the construction of the embankment over
and around the box culvert. No logs, stumps, roots, sod, weeds, or other objectionable
material shall be incorporated or placed in the embankment. Minor quantities of rock not
greater than four (4) inches in greatest dimension are permissible. The top six (6) inches
of embanlanent shall not contain any material larger than two (2) inches in greatest
dimension. The suitable material shall have a plasticity index not less than eight (8) or
more than twenty-two (22)·
To the extent possible, topsoil shall be salvaged from the area where embankment
