I spoke to the City Manager about using the Minyards property for detention. He was not interested in
approaching Minyards to obtain the land. Minyards has stated previously that they will use that property
for expansion. The City Manager is concerned that if we obtain the land for detention then Minyards may
decide to relocate for expansion purposes, ie, out of Coppell.
In summary, the drainage design should not use any detention on the Minyard property. I'm at a loss on
how to proceed. What are our options at this point?
