RE: Road Base under Asphalt
Dear Mr. Schnitger,
This letter is being sent per the discussion at the jobsite regarding the road base and new
asphalt. ISI would like to request leaving some of the road base down at the north end of
State road under the new asphalt paving that will be installed.
This area has been limed and road base installed on top to serve as a temporary paving.
To help eliminate additional down time for the road during paving operations, ISI would
like to leave the road base, cut to proper grade and compacted, and place the new asphalt
directly on top. Please review this request and respond in writing if this will be
acceptable.
