Construction Plan Review/Approval Comments
Dear Mr. Bakintas:
The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans, and it appears that all comments except
for 5 (a) have been addressed. Although the existing 8" fireline has been stubbed into your
property and the intent was (and is) to connect your fireline to it, the line is privately maintained
by Jack-in-the-Box. They have set two fire vaults to isolate the line from the public system and
to meter the water that enters it. Therefore, a letter of acknowledgement from Jack-in-the-Box
will be required before these plans can be released for construction.
An alternative solution to obtaining a letter from Jack-in-the-Box may be to install fire vaults at
each connection including the appropriate meters and detector checks. This solution may be
cost-prohibitive and is not the City's preferred solution.
After you have addressed the above issue, you may submit three sets of plans for our use, and as
many as you and your contractor need for release for construction. If you have any questions or
comments regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me at (972) 304-3679.
Sincerely,
Gary ¢~t'6hnson, P.E.
