Central Expwy Suite M-1150 Dallas, TX 75206 214-696-3433 Meeting Minutes Meeting Date 3/26/02 Time 2:00 PM Location Job # City of Coppell, City Hall C3188800 Participants Ken Griffin - City of Coppell Gary Johnson - City of Coppell John Mears - Dallas County Alberta Robinson - Dallas County Shannon Hebb - Jacobs Civil Inc. (JCl) Spenta Irani - JCl Debbie Kiger - JCl Project Sandy Lake Road Notes Prepared By Spenta Irani Purpose: To review and discuss the final construction drawings, specifications and estimate for Sandy Lake Road Discussion: 1. City of Coppell is assessing the utilization of brick pavers. Currently brick pavers will be shown on the medians. Cross walks across River Chase, River View and Trinity Shores will use stamped concrete. Trinity Shores will not have crosswalks across Sandy Lake Road. 2. Traffic control plans (TCP) were discussed. Ken indicated the City's desire to continue utilization of all the eastbound lanes along Sandy Lake Road approaching McArthur Blvd during Phase I. Shannon indicated that it was necessary to taper the eastbound lanes prior to approaching the McArthur intersection to provide the required taper distances and the plans will remain as shown. However, Dallas County and Jacobs reiterated that TCP is ultimately the contractor's responsibility and the traffic control methods could be changed during construction. 3. Discussed access to driveways during construction. It was agreed upon that all construction exits would be subsidiary to construction detours and the appropriate language would be added to the specifications. 4. Quantity and estimate sheet should account for all the illumination wiring and foundations. Lighting assemblies would be added later by an agreement between the City and the respective utility company. 5. Foundation for the lighting assemblies should be per the City of Dallas standards 251D. 6. All the illumination conduits should be 2" instead of 1%". 7. Traffic signals conduits at River Chase and River View should be interconnected with 3" conduits. The 3" conduit should extend to the start of the project at Kimbel Court. 8. Typical sections should show conduits for irrigation along the medians. City of Coppell will forward the irrigation conduit sizes to Jacobs. Median nose at River Chase will be pulled back to clear the obstruction in the cross walk. 13. Per the recent bids received by Dallas County and City of Coppeil on other jobs the cost of 8" concrete pavement is within $30 per square yard. Unit price in the estimate will be revised to reflect the lower cost. 14. Cost for additional pavement necessary due to the Trinity Shores development will be separated and provided to Ken, 15.
