Re: Replacement of 145 sy of failed City of Coppell street paving - Northpoint Drive
Dear Ken,
As we discussed on Monday, Transwestem has received the attached cost proposal from Glenn
Thurman Company to remove and replace the failed sections of paving in the westbound lane of
Northpoint Drive where it connects to the new section of N0rthpoint. Thurman's utility work is
nearly complete and they will mobilize within the next week to commence street grading for the
new 2900 If pavement section of Northpoint. As you know Transwestem has committed $1.3M
of public infrastructure costs for the street and utilities at the onset of the project and another
$100K of changes in the plan review by Gary Johnson. We are hoping that the city would see to
repair the bad section of paving at this time so we can open the new business park without visible
failed paving or asphalt patchwork.
I can offer to pick up half of Thurman's "additional move-in" costs up to $3,310. The city has
required us to accommodate uninterrupted and stable drive lanes for traffic to the water tower
facility and baseball field,
Please consider our offer to make repairs while our contractor is mobilized. I would be happy to
discuss how we can proceed with repairs that mutually benefit us both.
