Public Works has recently experienced three knockdowns of turn signal
lights in the medians by vehi'cular traffic. The cost of replacement.
to date is $6,355.00. These knockdowns are rapidly depleting the limited
resources budgeted and because of this we recommend .that any future
installation of permanent signals include the turn signal to be mounted
on the mast arm of the primary signals. Two of the knockdowns were
hit-and-run.
This change in signal layout is recommended to be effective immediately
including the signals scheduled for the Denton Tap project.
