RE: Highpoint Oaks Development / Coppell Greens
Dear Mr. Kumar:
Approximately three weeks ago I e-mailed you information conceming the continuation of silt
leaving the site north of Coppell and creating problems for the homeowners in the Coppell Greens
subdivision. As of this date, I have received no response. The City of Coppell has again been
contacted by residents of Coppell Greens subdivision about the substantial amount of silt coming
from the Highpoint Oaks Development into the Coppell Greens Subdivision.
With this letter I am providing a copy of a letter from Pamela Gamer, 844 Fallkirk Court along with
sixteen photographs and two exhibits showing the path of the water. The photographs show very
clearly the mud coming over the top of the retaining wall and flowing through the common areas in
Coppell Greens subdivision. I am sure that Lewisville has the same erosion control issues or
requirements and clean water requirements that we have in the City of Coppell. The mud coming
from Highpoint Oaks in Lewisville is getting into our stormdrain system and eventually being
deposited into the creeks around Coppell. In additional to that, it is settling into our sto, mdmin
system reducing the capacity of the systems. I need your help in getting this situation pe,manently
resolved.
The continuation of the flow of mud from property in Lewisville into Coppell cannot continue.
Please contact me at (972)304-3686 at your earliest convenience to discuss this situation in greater
detail so that a mutually agreeable solution can be reached. Thank you for your consideration and I
look forward to hearing from you in the very near future.
Sincerely,
Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E.
