Box 478 Coppell, Texas 75019 Re: Denton Tap Road Cottonwood Creek to S.H. 121 Bypass Dear Garreth: Thank you for meeting with me, Armando, and Dennis today at the referenced project. I agree with you the best way to build the project is to install all of the storm drainage in Phase II if we can make the alignment work. The storm water drainage for the project would work better, and we could cross Natches Trace before school opens. I spoke with Ulys Lane, and he said the temporary 8" PVC drain would be necessary unless the developer on the west side has accounted for the potential ponding area in their drainage plan. If it's not accounted for, the temporary 8" line would become permanent. Also, Ulys said the temporary drainage swales on the east side will remain in place until the affected property is developed. In order to install all of the storm drainage in Phase II, we will need to cross Natches Trace and additional asphalt pavement removal and repair, Item 53, would be required. The cost of the additional Item 53 would be 155 LF @ $36.00/LF for a total of $5,580.00 (88 LF for the installing the new 54" RCP and 67 LF for the removing the old 48" RCP). If the 8" PVC line and the special grate inlet can be deleted, this would save $4,535.00. If the 8" PVC line and special grate inlet are needed, 36 LF of additional asphalt pavement removal and repair would be needed. Please let me know if it is acceptable to you and the City to install all of the storm drainage in Phase 11. Thank you for your consideration of this matter. Sincerely, REBCON Robert C.
