I even spoke to another engineer here in our office about it and both of us agree that the Contractor should go ahead and pour the inlets where they are. The elevation differences are so minor that it is difficult to determine if there is going to be any significant drainage problems. The Contractor will need to make sure that the leave- out areas are centered with the inlets though. After the inlets are in place we will need to inspect them, after a rain, to determine if there are any minor high points that the Contractor will need to shave down. We should have some excavation figures associated with the sidewalk design by tomorrow. Chris Chris Schnitger, P.E. I tried to call him but he is out for the day. I asked him to call me back in the morning. They can proceed with the inlets and from what I can tell we are going to proceed with the sidewalk design as we have it. I was going to tell Philip to start looking at the sidewalk plans. We are going to get you some excavation quantities tomorrow. Do you want me to tell Philip to proceed with the curb inlets? Chris Chds Schnitger, P.E.
