Texas 75225 RE: Sandy Lake Road Project #ST 934)1 / Sanitary Sewer to Peter Park's property Dear Mr. Chovan: I have reviewed the plans submitted for the extension of sanitary sewer from Riverview Estates northward to the Peter Park property. As the sewer line proceeds northward from Riverview Estate, it should proceed straight across Sandy Lake Road as opposed to turning 90 degrees to the east. This will eliminate approximately 20 feet of sewer and two manholes. It also will remove approximately three manholes from beneath future paving. The crossing, as shown on Sheet SS-I, is approximately 70 feet west of where the line is currently shown. In reviewing the utilities and proposed construction of Sandy Lake Road, the conditions appear to be very similar at the new location as they are at the intersection of Riverview Drive. Therefore, there should not be any additional issues associated with the existing or proposed utilities. However, as I have redrawn it on the plans, it does run parallel to the proposed DWU 60" water line. Therefore, you should contact DWU to determine the size of their existing or proposed easement to insure that you can run parallel to the proposed water line. I have drawn the parallel section approximately 20 feet north of the proposed 60" water line. 1 know the State minimum is approximately nine feet, however, given the fact that it is a 60" water line, Dallas may have a larger easement through that area. When the plans are revised and resubmitted please show the easement associated with the 60" DWU water line. The concept as proposed appears to be acceptable and once the changes have been made, the schematic can be included with the Sandy Lake Road plans for construction at such time as we begin construction later this year. If you should have any concems with the requested revisions please feel free to contact this office at your convenience. Sincerely, Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E.
