The City of Coppell offers no objections to the requested map revisions and agrees to adopt and enforce the modified floodplain and floodway limits in accordance with the National Flood Insurance Program regulations and the City of Coppell's Floodplain Management Ordinance as adopted by City Council on June 26, 2001 (see attached). In accordance with the National Flood Insurance Program regulations and the City of Coppell's Floodplain Management Ordinance, the reclamation of property associated with Windsor Estates and DeForest Court is reasonably safe from flooding associated with the 100 -year floodplain of Denton Creek. The City of Coppell's Floodplain Management Ordinance does not allow any construction within a designated floodplain. In this particular area the floodplain elevation is 452. The lowest allowed minimum finished floor in DeForest Court is 453.4 and the lowest allowed minimum finished floor in Windsor Estates is 455.2. The allowable minimum finished floors are as established in the Letter of Map Revision Study for Denton Creek. Floodplain Development Permit #000609AH was issued on June 9, 2000 for the reclamation of Windsor Estates and DeForest Court. Based on the existing floodplain maps and the reclamation study no fill has been placed within a floodway. Also the study shows that there is no rise in the base flood elevations.
